Executive Chef Mary Fabrikant, owner of La Vie Catering, started her career as an engineer in the technology industry, but decided to pursue her passion for food and entertaining by obtaining her post graduate culinary degree at Johnson and Wales University.  Her creative, hands-on approach to entertaining and love of fine cuisine naturally led her to start her catering company, now acclaimed as one of Denver Metro’s premier boutique catering companies for weddings and other life cycle events.  Her philosophy is There are many reasons to celebrate life, and thousands of reasons to throw a party.”  She is the recipient of Johnson & Wales University’s 2009 Alumni Success Award and has been featured in numerous newspaper articles on kosher cuisine.  She believes that the ritual of drawing together the people you love for celebration and fine food is the very stuff life is made of.A native of North Carolina, Mary brings the tradition and quality of Southern hospitality to her Denver catering company, while adding a bit of her own personal flavor and flair (she was a true debutante, no joke), including some of her family’s most closely-guarded recipes. La Vie’s Carolina-style barbecue is just one example of Mary’s North Carolina roots brought west.
Aaron Pucel Aaron Pucel, Catering Manager
Aaron received his Associate’s and Bachelor of Science degrees in Culinary Arts and Nutrition at Johnson and Wales University. A Wisconsin native, he is a self-confessed cheese-head and a die-hard Packers and Brewers fan. We love him anyway because he truly puts a lot of care and effort into making your event a great success. When he is not in La Vie’s kitchen or at an event, he dreams of entering into the Octagon, as he enjoys watching UFC fights. Not to worry though, he works out his aggression in a healthy manner, and can whip up the finest blackened chicken alfredo. A true Renaissance man!
